I need a programming function that takes in a ray (starting point, and angle direction), and ellipse (xy point, horizontal and vertical radius), and gives boolean value as to weather the ray has collided with ellipse or not. Thats it. Function must be in Javascript. Thank you.

Hello, It is a matter of resolving an equation like y = Ax + B for the ray A = tan ( alpha ) .... Alpha = direction and x2/a2 + y2/b2 = 1 that is an elipsis equation The two shapes are colliding if and only if the result in the equation is not infinity. If they are intersecting then the result are two points. Everything else is a Javascript function. Kind Regards, Patrik
