Create and deploy custom firmware for an infrared hardware device.

I have an existing infrared hardware device that does not do exactly what I need it to do. I purchased this device so I DO NOT have the original firmware source code. In addition, I do not know how to program the device either. The device is an internet of things (IoT) device with wifi capabilities. It has a Marvell 88MC200 chip. Success for this project would be:

1. Create new firmware to do specific tasks.

2. Upload new firmware to device.

3. New firmware works as coded on device.

4. Provide instructions on how to create/compile firmware and upload to device.
