Computer vision: people tracking software

Hi, My name is Ryan Messina and I am a computer vision and machine learning specialist running my own business www.messinasystems.com. I have worked on many systems from manufacturing, defence and mobile applications including surveillance with experience in vehicle detection and people detection. I cannot link you the systems at the moment to you, however if you send me a message I could send you a some photos and describe the systems in more detail; Note I just don’t have a video demonstration available at this point in time. I am sure you have thought of the system and its requirements very well, however, I would like to challenge them to ensure the project is as best as it can be for your budget. Please describe the system requirements a little more what you are trying to achieve and how you intend to use it. For example are you trying to count people entering or exiting a room? How robust is the system meant to be? How long is it operating for at a given time? Will it be moved around? How many times can it perform a false detection? And can it require much calibration on set up? I believe making it real time is possible, however what processor will it be running on? I am flexible with programming languages but my preference is C++ using OpenCV library. I have done similar project like license number plate recognition and number plate position(rectangle size) face recognition and their position, like eye and mounth. hello i read you info carefully, yes we can we can built this project using R pi controller, the code would be written by python, we will make same as your video, this controller could be connect to LCD to show the result and video, and we can send the video from the controller using WiFi, in addition we can save at least last 15 minute from this operation

Hello, We understand your project to some extent. You need a system that would detect humans and track them in particular scene that would work in real time. After that you will need that information to be stored in some kind of database. Well, we are a group of friends who are doing their PhDs and Masters in Computer Science specifically in Image Processing and Computer Vision from top tier universities of the world. One of our related work is Human Fall Detection in which it detects human in a particular video and tracks it and detects if human falls or not. If yes, then it will trigger alarm. The idea was focused for old age homes. We also have a publication on it which can be provided if asked. We have other related work as well which can be told. However we have few questions about this project. 1) Would the scene (background) of the video captured be the same always? Or it can be different? And you want it to be scene independent. 2) What would be done once human(s) has been detected and tracked? Do you want any database? Or just box and interface which will show information on screen. 3) On what platform (Linux or Windows etc) you want final solution to be? This is an interim bid and can be changed when complete information would be taken. We assure you best solution in efficient time. i propose you to use opencv and javacv libraries and java language if you position the camera on top you can track the head of each person in real time and can trace path of each person i have little experience on it i have done hand gesture tracking,color tracking using simple webcams my bid is an approx bid we can discuss more and finalize the bid

We would like to use other methods which includes image processing and will be Better to move forward. Tracking can be done In various ways but it needs to be reliable, low cost and can be implemented anywhere.. We will consider other options too
