I am very proficient in c, c++. I have 15 years c++ developing experience now, and I have worked for 5 years. My work is online game developing, and mainly focus on server side, the lauguage is c++ under linux os. So, programming in c++ is never a problem. I as a master student in CS, has done with a similar project in my internship with a startup. And I think it is quite easy for me. And I want to know is it possible to use the boost library in C++ (asio framework). Or I need to code it with the low-level socket? To make the program reliable, I think I will choose the TCP protocol. I just need to maintain the tcp connection, then everything is Okay. And it also involved some sync issues. But since I have those experience, everything is fine. And if used the low level socket, I think the pthread is a must. And in order to sync, something like mutex also need to use. So to the server, connectionpool to maintain the tcp connection, thread to deal with every request from the client side... I think I am quite sophisticated with network programming and the system design. So let me know if you have any doubt. Thanks.
