I'm not sure what language the program is written in. I assume it's C++ but I am not positive.
We have a program running on another computer on our local area network that records all telephone calls - incoming and outgoing - this is the server application.
There is a program we can run on another computer that logs into server application and displays the status of each telephone line (only two lines) - in real time - this is the client program.
The problems with the current client program is that is only displays call information on the local computer (see the attached jpg file).
What I want is a text file being written detailing the status of both telephone lines that would normally be displayed in the client program. You won't be interacting with recording - just write the information about the current status of both lines to a text file that is normally displayed within the client program.
It displays various information for the status of both telephone lines that I would written to a .txt file instead and in comma-delimited format instead of being displayed locally on the desktop. I would prefer this run as a service instead of an application.
I believe that the client program is sent updated information from the server instead of polling the server but again, I'm not sure.
