Biometric Roll

Biometric fingerprint roll: I want to use a Microsoft's (DG2-00002) fingerprint scanner to take roll for middle school classrooms. Idealy I want to set up the scanner next to the computer, the student will walk up, put their finger on the scanner, screen flashes (green) "okay" with positive sound.(red "try again" if didn't read fingerprint. Some negative sound also) Next student does the same thing. Program finds the student in the database and marks the date and time next to their name. -Program always on top... ready to go? -Needs to read the computers clock and use this for the time -Microsoft Excel for the student name database? -Installable program for xp and maybe vista (depends if this is way harder or complicated) -Cool interface screen/ready to go indicator? *If this works out I will need to be able to have registration numbers for additional programs for other people (to buy?)
