We use a software that automatically generates excel files refreshing data based on parameters, but with exactly the same format, I mean always data will be in the same place for each excel file. My problem is that it does not generate the excel files with graphs so the user might have to open those excel, on by one, create the graph and save it. I need one aplication (no matter if VB, C/C++, .net, ...) that opens each of the excel files that are in one directory, and base on a configuration text file (where we define type of graph, datasource range, place to put it, colors, format, ...), includes the graph and save the files, one by one. Atteached you have examples of the excel files that will be in the source diectory. We can not use macros because the excel files are generated automatically and the user would have to open one by one and include the macro. Thanks a lot, Roberto

Hello, This problem can be done with macro, i can write a vba module that you only need to only it at the first file of the folder, and it can open the files in the same folder one by one and generate graphs and re-save. Thank you! William

Hi We need some samples and translations as we do not understand the labels. We propose to complete this assignment all within Excel/VBA environment. The utility will open a file in the directory, reads the graphic instruction, creates the required graph and saves the file in a second directory. You can automate this process by creating a new and independent application which will read the input directory contents, opening all xls files one by one, and creating graphics based on your predefine criterias. I need to know what's criteria you will implement on as I cant find graphic example on your 3 sample files. So, the application I will write for you will need a directory as the input, and then it will process all files within the folder and sub-folder recursively, and it will create graphic automatically, and then save them all lastly. That's it. This will need 1 - 2 days only.

Pudieras por favor publicar un ejemplo del archivo de configuración (en donde indicarias tipo de gráfico, color, etc), especialmente el dato: Columna (rango de donde se formará lyego el gráfico).
