We're using ArGoSoft Mail Server Pro (not .NET edition). This mail server allows custom processing for incoming email messages through "Server Extensions". These extensions are simple Dynamic Link Libraries (DLL) that most have at least one of four entry points used for processing.
We developed an extension as a DLL ActiveX (COM Object) that does all the processing, but the mail server cannot use it as extension, since it's an ActiveX and not a simple DLL with the necessary entry points. So, what we need, is a VERY simple DLL that will have one entry point, which will simply call our registered COM object and pass the received arguments, and, return the returned answer.
The DLL should have the following function. This example is not language specific (or language-real for that matter), it's just explanatory:
Function ProcessFilter1 (fromAddress as string, toAddress as string, fileName as String) {
obj = CreateCOMObject('[login to view URL]');
ans = [login to view URL](fromAddress, toAdress, fileName);
Return ans;
}
That was an example of what we need from this DLL. Your job is to create such DLL as regular DLL (not ActiveX) with that entry point, which will just pass the whole work to our already created COM object.
We can provide you with our COM object (you'd just register it in your system via regsvr32) and you can download ArGoSoft Mail Server Pro in order to test it's working as expected. Or, we can do the testing for you and let you know the result.
This is a really simple task that any expert should be able to accomplish in a few minutes. We would receive the source code, preferently in Visual C++ or Delphi.
