Consultant Accountant with Bookkeeping Experience - repost

We need a consultant accountant having great understanding & long experience with Double Entry Accounting systems. Some experience working with all or some of the existing players like xero, myOB, Kashoo, Quickbooks online, Freshbooks is an asset. We are working on developing a similar system but with a different concept. The project will take 3-4 months and you should be willing to work with us to discuss some technical aspects of the project or to advise us on how to do things better and [url removed, login to view] should be available daily for discussion during Vancouver, BC (PST) time.
Duties:
1) Discuss and advise the project manager and technical team on functionality aspects.
2) Making sure development work is compliant of Double Entry Accounting concepts and system integrity is maintained during different phases of the project.
3) Some exposure or experience with USA or Canadian accounting is an asset.
4) Sharp eye on the work flow and things that may increase productivity.
As you will be an integral part of the team so you might be expected to lay for the flow of the process & design layouts keeping key bookkeeping & accounting concepts in mind. I realize that it’s hard to estimate the man hours at this stage but you can expect it may take around 1 hour daily on working days for next 4 months, sometime you may need more and sometime nothing at all while development team is doing the work. You will stay 1-2 steps ahead of the development team working with the project manager.
Project may lead to full time position for the right candidate.
