Class ASP writing to Excel

I have a template MS Excel file, which contains 2 worksheets. The first worksheet contains graphs based on values held in the 2nd worksheet. I want a classic ASP routine to update values in the 2nd worksheet, and then delete unused lines in the 1st worksheet. i.e. there are 25 rows containing graphs, however if the data passed only uses 10 rows, then I need rows 11-25 deleted. Please note that Excel cannot be opened on the server, but if there's a way to open on the client side to update the Excel file that is fine.
