Contest Brief

Dear Contestors,

For this project I need an artwork that it's in rothko style, but instead of the one main colored squares I also need other abstract works in these square spaces instead of only one main color. This can be done with some squares though (please note that it should never be a perfect square, look carefuly at the rothko examples to understand it).

Colors should never be monotonous, just like with rothko it should exist of layers.

Even though it's just one artwork I need it to print in two different sizes, one is a little longer than the other but since the difference is minimal you can just stretch it probably. So version one needs to be printed on a space from 17,08m x 1,70m. Yes, METERS. and version two on a space from 17,83m x 1,70m. Since it will be printed so big, it should be very high quality. I definetly need it in a Illustrator file and vector file too.

I uploaded a reference of how many squares it should be, you can do less or do them differently if you want. As long as the end result is beautiful.

The colors that should be used for sure are
- Orange
- Grey
- Light greyish blue.

You can add different colors too if they look well together, but these need to be in here for sure.

I try to give constant feedback in reply to the work that will be deliverd. And don't forget, it should look like a painting. I will report people that deliver work that's just bad and lazy. Know if this project is right for you.

I will tip you if you did a great job! It would be appreciated if it's done in 24 hours from now. You can always ask questions.

with Illustrator files you can always have the right size. There is a name for files like this, I'm not sure how it's called. it should be easy to google. Thanks :)

I should report all current entries (1 to 7). They did not read it. Look at Mark Rothko's work, articulate what I want different and use this knowledge to make this artwork IN THE RIGHT DIMENSIONS. None of the entries even came close to following the description.

I can create similar brush strokes within Photoshop as he says below, but you want all these files separate or as one long canvas like in the template?

First in one file, after that I might need them cuttted in panels but I think I'll do that myself. The complete artwork needs to be one file for sure.

Dear Hemen. Yes the measurements are correct. One is 17,08m x 1,7m and the other is 17,83m x 1,7m. However please remember that 1,7m is very big in real life. So there is plenty of room for detail. You'll have to zoom in alot to create this one. Zoomed out it might look weird on a computer screen but try to imagine the measurements in real life. I do need a vector file but you can create in photoshop. Remember that it needs to be printed in a very big size. So one of your main objectives is to make it printable on such dimensions.
