We are looking for advises and support to select the best existing solutions of : "Touch screen self ordering system" for restaurants (kiosks, touch screen, touch table, tablet,…).
As many vendors claim to sell the best solution, we want to gather information “off” the marketing discourse on specialized forums.

# Our problem : We don’t know where to search and not even what to ask !

# The solution:
We propose to hire “specialists” to post a thread with relevant questions.

# Your profile :
-You are IT "specialist" with knowledge and experience in the field of POS (Point of Sales) and Self Order systems.
-You know one (or more) very active forum with experienced members willing to share their experience.
=>These are valuable skills for us !

# Your job:
Think about “smart” questions to be asked on specialized forums and post a thread where specialists will contribute to propose solutions.

# Typical domains of investigation are :
-“Self ordering" software are different from “POS” as they need appealing menus to be shown to clients.
-What are the best “self ordering systems” for restaurants and why ? (feedback from users are welcome)
-What would be a typical installation for a restaurant with 50 tables ? (software, dedicated server,...?)
-Which “self order software” allows to split the menu for 2 or 4 users on one “Touch screen table” ?
-Can the restaurant’s owner modify himself the menu, add photos, discounts, …
-Is it possible to buy a software and “run” it with any kind of “digital displays” (touch screen, kiosks, tablets…)?
-Is it possible to use an existing POS system and only modify the “self ordering” part with attractive visual displays ?
-At what price does a basic offer start ? What would be the price for a fully integrated solution in a 50 tables restaurant ?
-Are there existing codes and would it be realistic to develop a personalized solution ?
-Help us to choose the ideal solutions !

Wow wow wow ! You did far too much ! The job was only your "point 1" : post a thread on Forum and then... just wait ! You are doing like a full "market analysis"... Please, make a "proposal" for the contest with the links to the forums so we can evaluate the feedback (submit a Word document with the links).

  Sure, I can do that. But if your goal is to learn more about the best Self Order systems and there isn't much information available, wouldn't it help if (in addition to posting those threads), I also provided you with my own research, as well as replies from companies which specialize in Self Order systems? It's up to you, of course; I'll do whatever you require.

Hi BGeDVIZ, this is what I've done so far: 1) Posted 2 threads, one on an IT website, another on a restaurant/food industry website, asking for information on all the things you requested above. 2) Emailed 7 different companies which specialize in Self Ordering Systems and POS for information. 3) Started my own research on the best Self Order Systems and putting all the important information into a word document. But I have some questions for you: 1) Do you need this information for ONE specific restaurant or many? 2) How big is the restaurant? 3) What country is it in? 4) I've looked at IT and Restaurant forums and found that data on Self Ordering Systems is very rare. Is it okay if I do my own research and come up with my own findings? (For this, I'll need to know the answers to the other questions). Thanks.

Thanks HKPatel7 ! We are expecting to get feedbacks from forums as soons as possible and I realized the time given for this job was too long and I should have played more with the time to choose the winners at the end of the contest to observe how the forums are reacting... Any "early" submission will be greatly appreciated !
