Contest Brief

Our project is called "YONY", it's a feminist app whose mission is to emancipate women' sexuality.

Our name refers to the sanskrit word "yoni", that stands for the womb and the feminine genital organ. Our logo needs to be feminine, unique, to have a strong personality, and be able to gather people. We'd like for example to use our logo on t-shirts or goodies, to create a "Yony community".
So we want something modern and simple, but strong and unique at the same time. It should be appealing to women in the first place, who could identify with it.

We were thinking to get inspiration from the Starbucks Coffee logo, which represents a woman with long hair, like a queen facing us.

The ancient goddess Ishtar/Inanna could be a starting point. She represents sexuality (among other things) and is associated with the Venus star : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inanna
Here are some representations of Ishtar, that could be an inspiration for Yony's logo (see screenshots attached). We think we could do something that could refer to Ishtar, without being too obvious either.
