Contest Brief

I work as a social worker and I'm also a parent. I struggled to find any interesting kids books about empathy and the profession of social work, so I wrote one myself. Now, I'm looking for help with the illustrations.

The book is cute, fun, and has a quirky protagonist. It's intended for kids ages 3-8. It's 24 pages long and would require a title page. I'm a big fan of books with spread illustrations.

An excerpt from the book to give you a feel:

"By the end of Grade Six,
she had plenty of troubles to fix.
She trained Arlo’s pet bear,
and cut gum out of Lennon’s hair."

For this contest, I'm looking for the following:

Cover page Illustration #1 - young girl age 10-12 red hair, quirky, fun
Illustration # 2 - three year old protagonist, digging through a toy box, holding up a lost stuffed animal with a kid crying in the scene (he is crying because he lost his toy)
Illustration #3 - three year old protagonist dreaming of being a #1 social worker
Illustration #4 - ten year old protagonist training a bear and cutting gum out of a kid's hair
Illustration #5 - ten year old protagonist protecting a dog from bullies
Illustration #6 - ten year old protagonist cleaning up a beach
Illustration #7 - ten year old protagonist comes across a boy her age crying on his front steps of his house
Illustration #8 - ten year old protagonist gets an idea
Illustration #9 - the little boy shaking his head no and ten year old protagonist looking confused
Illustration #10- ten year old protagonist and the little boy sitting together on the steps, her arms around him listening as he talks
Illustration #11 - ten year old protagonist with a few friends
Illustration #12 - protagonist as an adult talking with a family - implication is that she's helping them with something

      Hi, I love it! I like the simplicity and style a lot. I also looked at some of yours on your profile page and like your other designs too. Are you able to send me an interpretation of the main character (10-12 red head quirky) I'd love to see what you come up with.

      I like minimalist style, white spaces, and I'd like to either see the scene in illustration #2 or to see your interpretation of the young girl character talking with the young boy.

    How many illustrations do you need in common and how many do you want to be done for this contest?
    What scenery do you want to be drawn for a current task? The text part, you have given is too short to understand the story.
