I need architect/designer opinion on a small apartment

Contest Brief

I need you to suggest a disposition of a small apartment. The apartment is 35 square meters including storage in the hallway. The place has two rooms, on the plan, it is the red one. There is only the wall in the middle separating the rooms. The bathroom is not there yet, it makes sense to place it there, because the drain is in the storage room on the hallway. There are two requirements. It should be possible to connect the apartment to the yellow one in the future, secondly, the apartment should look bigger than it is - should take advantage of modern ideas while keeping the old classic looks.

UPDATE AND REWARD INCREASE:
I would like you to make a sketch of the orange apartment as well, where the bathroom can be slightly extended and take half of the skylight on the right side (behind the shower). In the orange apartment, there will be a kitchen with a small bar and a couch with TV. The idea is - how would the large apartment be, when they small apartments are both connected (for example by adding doors to the left of the entrance to the red apartment).

For now, the apartments will be separate. However it is good to plan for the future, in case we decide to connect them. Given that we would like to see how would the apartments look connected, we will increase the budget for this to 50 EUR.

Most important is to figure out the red (smaller) apartment.

ADDITIONAL ATTACHMENTS:
- PLAN of the current situation on the 3rd floor (where the apartments are located)
- PLAN of the 4th floor - to see how they solved the bathroom by extending the apartment to the skylight - we plan to do the same.
