Contest Brief

Looking for a minimum 5000 word funny short story about horse riding. There should be strong characters in the story, should feel fast paced and maybe just a little outrageous.

The writing must sound like a native English speaker.

This would be a ghostwriting work and all rights would be transferred at the time it is awarded. If there are multiple great entries, I will gladly purchase as many as I can. These would be used eventually in a collection of short stories posted on a web site about cross country horse trail riding and possibly an Amazon kindle book.

Successful authors may be invited to do additional work in the future -- so if your story is good with memorable characters, it could turn into a series.

    Hi! I hope you'll make this contest #extended or be willing to consider currently-incomplete stories when you look at buying additional stories.     My story is set in Texas. Is it alright to use some southwestern dialect (nothing that won't be familiar from books and movies set in the area)? I'm willing to change it to standard American English, but dialect seems much more appropriate.
