Contest Brief
These files were created in 2 parts. The artistic portion was done in a 3d sculpting program . The 3D printer folks added a bunch of stuff in CAD to create a base for the art and to print it out. (Two completely different kinds of 3d design programs). Currently, its not syncing up and when we try and print in 3D it falls apart full of holes. We need help repairing these files and ultimately producing STL files for each. https://www.dropbox.com/s/j7ycg9czodjjkxn/Soul%20Stands.zip?dl=0
We had to increase the width of the models to 7” wide, slice off the back of the models as high as we could before we lost anything viewed from the front, then reduce the depth only (so squish the model’s z depth) to 1.5” thick, then add the flat back and risers to meet the back of all elements of the model. Also had to fill in any gaps (such as the corners of the scrolls and under the flowers on the skull wreaths) And then add the keyholes for hanging. The center of the wreaths had a ¼” back and a ⅜” hole for us to insert the instrument holder (we were printing the holder piece separately and inserting after printing).
