We are creating a board game set in the Alps in medieval times. This job is about creating the first drawing: the main game board. If the job goes well, we will work together on all the remaining parts of the game as well as future games.

The game board should look like an area in the Alps in medieval times, with mountains (the Alps), little towns, roads and a little lake. It should have a charming, hand-drawn drawing style that fits a board game.

In all the submissions so far, the labels of the towns look great and elaborate, but I'm not sure if the labels will be easy to read because of their size and contrast. Therefore I have an idea: Draw the main image without labels, and then draw the labels separately (on a separate layer, if you do it digitally) and we compose them digitally so we can play around with the size and contrast of the labels. This way we can make sure they are easy to read when the final image with all the details is done.

  The board should be 6400 x 3600 pixels. We haven't decided on the exact physical size of the board, but it will be similar to other board games.
