Contest Brief

Hello, good artists! I need a particular scene drawn and colored. Imagine you are back in middle school and it's your first day. Introductions need to be made in front of the class, but you're not by yourself, there's one other person with you.

There are only two characters in this scene--a boy and a girl--and they have already been created. I will attach references for each below, who are named Lloyd and Dominique. They will need to be full body, facing the front, standing side by side, and in different poses. You will have free reign to choose their poses! I also need a typical middle school classroom background. I also prefer a more anime style of drawings.

The main focus will be to put each of them in a school uniform of your own creation. I only ask that the colors be in red, black, and white, and suitable for the chilly Autumn weather. Here's a taste of the two characters' personalities, so that you may have an idea of what they are like and what pose you would like them to be in.

Lloyd is a somewhat complicated character. His cold, stoic demeanor is more befitting of a battle-hardened war veteran than a twelve-year-old boy. Case and point, he is actually a child soldier, sent undercover at the school. More of a realist than an idealist, he is a mostly straightforward and blunt individual, though will use subterfuge when needed. He's not the most approachable person.

Dominique, on the other hand, is a very kind-hearted and pleasant girl. She is quite frankly Lloyd's opposite, as that she's an idealist and always looks for a silver lining in less than favorable situations. Choosing to live by the creed: "Everything happens for a reason", she takes everything in stride with very little resistance.

I think I'm gonna need some guidelines for this design:

1) Size of the file (dimensions)
2) Private or public school (I'm guessing private for the fancy names :D)
3) Purpose of the design. It meant to be a poster to sell the idea? Just a scene for private collection? etc.
4) Is this going to be printed? Or just for the screen?
5) Can you provide reference of style/color of anime that you like?

  Sure thing! 1) Around 1500 x 1900 2) You guessed right! Private School! 3) Just a scene for a private collection. I have no intention of selling this artwork. 4) Just for a computer screen 5) I'm rather fond of Vampire Knight and Wolf's Rain art style and color. :D
