Damned.com is an upcoming humor and satire site targeted towards a slightly more mature demographic (age 25+). It will feature funny and satirical short articles (500 – 1000 words), listicles (Top 10 lists …..), original and dubbed spoof videos, funny quizzes (like the ones on Buzzfeed), tongue in cheek memes and infographics and funny calculators, surveys and games. Each piece of content will go through a strict editorial process and the focus will be quality of content, as measured in terms of engagement and virality, rather than quantity. Topics to be covered will include careers, relationships, travel, current affairs and slice of life subjects. Inspirations for the site are global sites such as cracked.com and buzzfeed.com. Platforms used to share the content will include the Damned.com website, YouTube channel, Instagram channel and Whatsapp.

The name Damned.com connotes an overall irreverent look at issues that most of the world usually takes very seriously. It prods the world to be a bit more light-hearted, mischievous and impish/devilish. With its focus on satire, the lighter-note assumption is that the writers as well as readers are going to be “damned” by the conventional world.

We are seeking a corporate identity for Damned.com that includes

1. A logo for Damned.com that captures its spirit as described above. The logo needs to include the words “Damned.com” preferably or at least “Damned” as this logo will be used on all platforms and marketing material.
2. A mascot for Damned.com that symbolizes its spirit. This caricature mascot could be a human (male, female, child), creature (animal, bird, insect) or any other being (devil, ghost, angel etc) and would be an integral part of the platform and a lot of the content that appears in it.
3. A symbol/emblem for Damned.com that does not include the text but just captures the spirit of the site and the logo – for e.g. a “D”. It is essentially a condensed logo that could possibly be used on the dress of the mascot and other collateral such as business cards etc.
