Contest Brief

We want a series of beer bottle labels (4” by 3.5” tall) for a small home-based craft brewery.

The name of the brewery is underground brewing.

The beer names/styles will include:

Berlin/Pils
Redwood/West Coast IPA
Tsarry Night /Imperial Russian Stout
Smoke/ London ESB

Where the / splits the name and the type. These would probably be be on two lines - name then below the description.

Variation from one beer to the next could be very simple - maybe just a text+colour change for the beer name with the graphics fixed across the range.

So any graphic would be about the brewery name (ie underground brewing) and not the beer type. Adding a new beer would then be simple, text edits and colour change only.

I attached a word doc with the only words we need and a very rough layout. For a different beer the beer name and description would vary. but nothing else would.

As this is a competion to be clear ONLY ONE DESIGN IS NEEDED. The rest will be simple edits.

  Hi - it’s for the month of production. We would mark the month jan to dec with a very fine permanent marker pen. The size if the font should be very small - just about readable. Writing the month by hand would be messy.
