Contest Brief

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING:
This is the IDEA: The name of our company is taxgrip.us. The character of our logo is the tax man (looks similar to Uncle Sam). We want to convey that our client will have the power to take charge of their taxes to the point that the client can squeeze the tax man.

Please see attached file uncle sam: As you can see, we already got the idea for our new logo drawn out, but it is not perfect yet and needs improvement. This picture represents the general idea and can be changed as you see fit, as long as you KEEP the FOLLOWING FEATURES of the character:
- shrugged shoulders
- expression of "Oops"
- big hat with the word "tax" written on it
- the hand grabbing and squeezing the character to make him sweat

Additional requirements are:
- only use black and white (no gradation please !!!), please see second file as an example with the drawing of Marylin Monroe. Only shadows were used to create the image.
- the character is supposed to be mischievous but kind, meaning to be a trouble maker or someone causing or showing a fondness for causing trouble in a playful way.
- you need to be able to recognize the logo instantly
- eyes and eyebrows should have the expression of "Oops"
- logo itself needs to be round or egg shaped ok

Once finalized, we want the main character "Tax Man" to appear throughout our website doing different things.

    My philosophy is that in a logo every single shadow, light, line, dot should have a purpose. Nothing should be repeated, if it doesn't need to be repeated and nothing extra. The point is to make a logo that people will remember. The more details the logo has, the less memorable it will be.
