Contest Brief

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND ALL THE WAY TO THE END IF YOU WANT TO WIN THIS CONTEST.

We are looking to design a poster for a marine protected area (MPA) in our country. The poster size will be A1 size (594 x 841 mm) and is to be printed in full colour – matt. The name of the MPS is “Dungunab Bay and Mukkawar Island National Park”, and the main pieces that will make up the poster are –

• the title of the MPA - Dungunab Bay and Mukkawar Island National Park
• a map of the MPA,
• a few images of the natural and human life in the area,
• text about the MPA, and its features (around 250 – 300 words)
• the MPA logo alongside the State/Province where the MPA is located.

In terms of branding - the website Sudan Marine National Park (http://sudanmarineparks.info/) should act as a guide/example to the colour preferences/scheme and font-types. Images from the website can also be used in developing the mock designs for the poster. A few images of the MPA maps and its location, as well as the logos to be used, are also attached for you to work with.

Please note that once the winning design/concept has been chosen, we will provide you with high resolution images and logos (that are to be used) and work together to make some final adjustments and tweaks before the final printer-ready files are sent to us.

    LOGOS

    In terms of logos, the marine parks logo and world heritage logos, should be at the top of the poster, while the partner logos and funding bodies should be much smaller and at the bottom of the poster.

    TEXT

    In terms of the text, there should be two blocks of text. A first block (Block 1) is about the parks and their designation as world heritage sites (see attached file titled Block 1 Text). A second block (Block 2) highlights the key values and characteristics of the MPAs. Please review and read the attached file Block 2 Text carefully before continuing to work on your designs.

    Additional photographs that go with the two groupings of text are also being supplied and only these photos should to be used.

    SIZE and ORIENTATION

    A1 size, orientation can be either portrait or landscape. Whichever gives the best and cleanest fit for what we want to be included in the poster.

    Can you use "SANGANEB ATOLL AND DUNGONAB BAY & MUKKAWAR ISLAND MARINE NATIONAL PARKS" as the main title of the Poster and use the map image MAP_HD for the map instead of the APF_map image. Apologies for this late correction.

    This marine park is a World Heritage site (WHS). Please use the UNESCO logo for WHS which I have added to the files attached to the description.
