Contest Brief

We need a promotional video for use on social media. This video is to demonstrate a new product - ‘TerrainTiles’.

The video will summarise the modularity and construction of a board of numerous TerrainTiles. For this project we would like a stop-motion style video to utilise our provided photography with overlaid text to express some of the key points of the product.

Raw image files will be provided in the correct order and will need to be carefully cropped to remove the backdrop and lighting equipment before usage as well as clean up the background in general where necessary.

To follow our colour scheme provided in the document of white, black and pink.

Images provided within the attached document, as well as further information and a resource pack with photography and our logos.

Please provide final work files if your video is selected as the winner. After winning, you will still be given a few days to make tweaks and edits to your video.

Additional photography for the final frames of the video will be provided by Wednesday 14th.

  "Any common upbeat music is fine, but this isn't highly necessary for the competition as we can add our own later. Most ad placements that feature this video will be watched without the sound, but if you wish to add some music that is completely fine."

  To clarify: We aren't really rating the sound of the video too much as this will be done after a winner is chosen, but if you wish to do some sound design you are welcome to.

Please all note that the timings and duration of the video are more flexible than you may think from reading the included .pdf brief. Please do not feel too restricted by this - if you feel the video must be longer to accommodate the typography, that is fine.

You are also welcome to overlay the typography on the stop motion part of the video as well if you wish.

Hi, thanks for your nice briefing, it's very objective. I would like to know if is necessary put on a music in the video? If yes, what kind music (style, rhythm) ? I have some nice musics "creative commons" (free) to put on video, I believe this can help in the rhythmic construction of stop motion images in the video, let me knows if you like this idea. Thanks

We have added a placeholder logo for TerrainTiles to the logos folder and some additional assembled boards photography for filler if necessary.

Hello! Working on your project - is ~10 seconds okay for the stop motion bit? That is around 5 frames per second with the frames you provided and I think it's a good spot where the effect doesn't suffer too much
