Hello! I need a logo for an LGBTQ group that I am organizing in the Houston area. It is called "LIFT Houston - LDS LGBTQ and Allies." I would like something that has some rainbow colors in it, since it is an LGBTQ group. I am trying to find a way to incorporate the word LIFT with something local to the Houston area. Had the thought of a space shuttle (because of NASA in Houston, Texas) "lifting off" with rainbow smoke/steam coming from the exhaust of the spaceship. But I am open to other ideas. LDS stands for Latter-day Saint (as in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints/ Mormon). Our primary mission is to provide a local space for LGBTQ+ people with Latter-day Saint backgrounds to come, fellowship, and find support in others who share those common backgrounds and experiences. I need a logo for our group that is beautiful, inspiring, and demonstrates how it's a space for LDS, LGBTQ, and those in the Houston area. I would love to see your ideas! The picture below was drawn by my young son in an attempt to create an idea. The whole phrase "LIFT Houston - LDS LGBTQ and Allies" would need to be on the logo. If we do go the direction of space shuttle, make sure it is NOT and airplane nor a kid looking rocket ship. I want to to look like something that would come out of NASA. I am open to other ideas besides a space shuttle - just seems like a good fit for the Houston area. The focus those is that this is an uplifting community and a safe space for those who are a part of it.

    Although I like the space shuttle idea, it's not the central theme of the logo. It's just a fun way to connect our group to this area. It's a group that creates community among Latter-day Saint LGBTQ individuals and their allies.

    Hello everyone! Let me clarify a few things. I am NOT looking for an image of an airplane. Please don't send another airplane. This is not an airport logo. The only reason I had the idea for a space shuttle was because this group is based out of Houston Texas - home of NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration). I am open to other ideas, but I thought it was good/fun to use something from the area to identify the uniqueness of Houston. Also, I do not need a world or globe or planet. Also, please do not send an image with a child looking rocket or spaceship. This logo is a group for adults, not kids. It can be a colorful image, but please don't make it look too kiddish. Also, the rainbow represents the colors of the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) community, thus why I thought to incorporate a rainbow. Both the rainbow and space shuttle (if used) can be more subtle - the logo just needs to speak to me. Thank you so much.
