Create an Updated Design for our High School Catalog for China

Contest Brief

We have a Chinese brochure and we want to update the design and layout. It is targeted toward an affluent and sophisticated audience of Chinese parents who want to choose a top High School in the USA for their kids.

I have attached our style guide for you to follow..
You *must* use our logo, brand colour scheme and fonts in the sample you provide..

We have 2 other brand elements that are optional, we are not sure if we will continue to use them. If you can find a way to use them, great. But they are not essential: #1 is the rotated banners and images that we have in our existing materials. We think this might look too playful and the new look we want is sophisticated. #2 is the "distressed" line and flags from our existing materials, some people have commented that these look "old".

PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT A SAMPLE BROCHURE FOR ANOTHER CLIENT THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW THE SPECS BELOW, THEY WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REJECTED.

There are 8 pages in total that you need to redesign for this project:
Document #1: "China brochure revisions" has 7 content page types, including the cover. Please redesign these to look more modern and sophisticated. Please work with a similar ratio of content to images that currently exists on these pages. The content doesn't matter so much, you can use FPO text but just remember we will use a similar amount of text and headers.

document #2: "china school profile page." we want to change this 1 page a lot, so the emphasis is on one beautiful image, the school name and location. The image and the name of the school should take up approximately 1/2-2/3 of the page. Remove the elements I have crossed out in red. Rearrange the remaining elements in a clear way. The logo of the school can become smaller. In the brochure we will have 2 page spreads that show 1 profile on the left and 1 on the right. So you might want to do a left aligned and right aligned version. Also the profiles must look great if we share them on WeChat!

Please show me PDF files as examples of your work, but the final files must be delivered in the latest version of indesign.

After this project is complete, we will have a 2nd and separate project to help us populate all the content in the brochure.

It is not necessary to be a Chinese speaker for this project but it probably will help.

    Q, What is the desire brochure size? The original file you attached is A4 size, normally the brochure size will be different as you mentioned, it will be the 2 pages spread.
