Contest Brief

Hi Everyone!

Just wanting to create a piece of art for my boyfriend for Christmas.

His favourite artist is Jon Bellion, and I would love a portrait of the two of them together in one way or another.

I am open to any form of high quality art, just make it look great! I love watercolour art and disney cartoon style as per the reference photos (I do not want photo manipulation!)

I would love a portrait of the two standing next to each other or even just a piece where they are chilling in a recording studio just hanging out that matches the artwork for Jon Bellion's album cover - possibly even the same style and same colour tones.

I have attached images of my boyfriend and of Jon Bellion as well as Jon Bellion's album artwork, but feel free to find your own source images for Jon Bellion too!

If you would like more source images of Jacob please message me and I will send them across promptly!

It would be helpful if you know who Jon Bellion is or have even listened to some of his music.

Would also love to get a printed copy of the artwork sent to me if possible.

Hey Emily, I didn't forget about the contest, I even made an unfinished illustration but didn't like it very much. Maybe I'll make another attempt today, but if I don't it'll be in the next days, no way I'm not submitting, a promise's a promise ! :) (Tell me if you want a screenshot from the first attempt)

With only a week left and a few days left this is all getting very exciting!

I have realised that the style I am really looking for is disney-ish, something clean and crisp. Hopefully this helps!

Looking for unique entries! So make yours stand out, unfortunately I have seen a lot of very similar style artwork (given they are all amazing), but something that stands out will be the winner so make yours different from everyone else!

Maybe try different poses with the two individuals in the image, less realistic and more cartoon like would be great (please refer to entry #13 as this is less realistic and more cartoon like).

Hello! I've been interested in this commission since I first saw it as a project, not a contest (i believe it was you, right?), and I think as far as the style of album artwork is concerned, I'm the closest match you can find here =) (please, see my portfolio here https://www.behance.net/tinangelnyo )

However, to be sure to meet your expectations, I'd like you to review several pencil sketches of mine (with different compositions, etc) prior to finishig the work. I'd hate to waste both your and my time on illustration and discussion, so could you please answer whether you are interested in my portfolio?
