Contest Brief

I have a new business which teaches parents how to be calmer and less stressed through online courses, ebooks and a blog. My target audience is stressed mothers with young children who are not enjoying parenting. I need a logo and a web banner. The business is called Feed the Parent. I would like the design of the logo and web banner to be spacious (lots of white) and be a bit edgy, artistic and modern. Not corporate - more artistic or quirky please. The colour scheme would be white, black and muted tones of colour - sage green is a nice colour (but other dusky colours can be used). No reds or yellows or harsh colours. I don't want the logo to have any 'pictures' in it eg of parents and a child. The name Feed the Parent needs to be in the logo. A symbol is fine (but no hearts). The symbol should suggest "caring, nurturing, helping, calm, ease".

ALSO:
I would like the logo and font to be slim - so no bold, thick fonts. And organic.

Possible images that could be included in the logo are:
a birds nest with adult bird (no baby birds).
a tree with roots
hands
