I joined the Navy in the late 90's as a Bosun's Mate then volunteered for Clearance Diving. I served as a Clearance diver for 14 years adn 8 of those years within the Australian Special Forces unit, the 2nd Commando Regiment. I was seriously injured and medically discharged and required a new focus.
