Project Description:

Need to integrate bar coding scanning software with product database using excel. Bar codes are scanned using a Motorola CS1504 bar code scanner and using software from BarcodeDevice.net to read the bar codes. Need barcode batch information to transfer to a excel spreadsheet. Once the information has been provided in a database, I need the data to interigate the core database. The core database will consist of batchs of barcodes, I need the downloaded bar code batch to be checked against the batch within the core database and once checked to highlight extra and missing barcodes from the downloaded list.

1. Need development of a core excel database that is user friendly allowing batchs to be added and removed along with individual bar codes being added and removed from Batch groups.

2. Each Barcode entry within the core database list must contain the following information: Barcode Number, Batch Number, ID number, Name, Day, Time.

3. Downloaded barcodes to integrate with core database flagging up any missed or extra scanned barcodes against individual batchs. ( I don't want the whole database flagged up as missed only the barcodes in the batch )

4. Happy for the actual Barcode number to have a prefix number for use as a batch number if this makes it easier and also happy to look at other ideas/suggestions within budget for barcode software and/or integration.

5. Need a simple report of missing or extra bar codes that can be printed once the check through the database has been completed.

6. Any alternative software suggestions need to be Windows based, ideally XP, Vista & Windows 7

7. Attached are specification details on the barcode scanner, software and drivers for compatibility.

8. Will be looking to download approximately approximately 20 batchs a day each batch contains between 5 barcodes up to 50 barcodes, approximately database size would be 3000 barcodes in total.

Need a software development between bar scanning software and Excel Database to all scanned barcodes to check automatically against a main database and highlight any discrepancies including missing bar codes from a specific batch and extra barcodes that down belong to a batch. The software must also be able to allow the user to print the list of scanned barcodes once they are download.
